Abstract

An integer-N frequency synthesizer and a sigma-delta modulator were created and successfully implemented. The proposed integer-N frequency synthesizer includes of phase frequency detector, charge pump, pulse-swallow counter, and pre-scaler. The continuous-time (CT) sigma-delta (ΣA) modulator with a hybrid loop active-passive 5th order filter reduced spurious responses of electromagnetic compatibility interference and deleted the aggregate amplifier used in the chain of integrators with weighted feedforward summation (CIFF) topology employing the organization of capacitive feedforward.
