Abstract

This research focuses on the integration of Industry 4.0 principles through the examination of FESTO's Cyber-Physical System (CPS). Through the extraction and analysis of data from the CPS, previously unquantified variables were computed, thereby improving monitoring capabilities and establishing opportunities for further research avenues. The study focuses on automatically tracking parameters e.g., Resource ID Numbers and Part Numbers, coupled with proximity sensor data, enabling real-time pallet position tracking. The effectiveness of the methodology in monitoring the CPS is validated by the results obtained. This study underscores the current and prospective applications of the CPS in optimizing manufacturing processes within the framework of Industry 4.0.
