Abstract

Online group-buying is a rapidly emerging e-commerce mechanism in china. The operating strategy of each group-buying website differs from others to a large extent. Some websites operate prosperously and attain a remarkable financial performance while others just survive hardly. For the sake of this, the evaluation of group-buying website is critical for web managers to upgrade their website systems. As is known by us the evaluation of group-buying website is a multiple-criteria decision making (MCDM) issue which cannot be settled easily. Hence a combined entropy weight and TOPSIS method is introduced to evaluate the group-buying websites in this study. Meanwhile, Fuzzy AHP is also adopted by us here to ensure the validity and reliability of the evaluation. Eventually a case study is presented to demonstrate how the above approach facilitates the unraveling of such issues in practice.
