Abstract

A multi-band metasurface structure rectenna capable of operating across four frequency bands is presented. The design leverages the mode analysis method of CMA to identify the excited modes within the proposed antenna, which can be utilized for energy harvesting applications. The multiband rectenna design aims to enhance energy harvesting efficiency, catering to the power needs of low-power devices in the Internet of Things (IoT). The dimensions of the antenna are 120 × 120 × 4.605 mm3, operating at frequencies of 1.8 GHz, 2.1 GHz, 2.32 GHz, and 2.45 GHz, with power conversion efficiency of 69.5%, 68.9%, 69.2%, and 60%, respectively.
