Abstract

Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is responsible for parsing an IP address into a corresponding MAC address. ARP attacks still threaten the Internet of Things (IoT). In order to find a method to prevent ARP attack from attacking IoT, this paper describes an ARP attack defense method for the IoT. This ARP defense mainly involves binding the IP address of the single-chip microcomputer to MAC address of Ubuntu in the router's static ARP cache table. Use Ubuntu as a monitor through enabling IP forwarding function. Detect attacker via Wireshark and intercept malicious ARP packets with arptables tool in the end. The method intercepts the attacker's information and blocks the ARP attack successfully to a certain extent.
