Abstract

An increasing number of grid applications manage the data sharing using software toolkits such as Globus toolkit and OGSA-DQP. These toolkits lack in performing tasks of mapping and matching. The main argument of this paper is that complexities of data mapping and matching should be transparent to grid applications, through a layer of virtualisation services. We start by discussing the prototyping development of software toolkit. This toolkit uses pseudo code of mapping and matching algorithms in the context of grid. A service-based generic strategy of data mapping, matching and data loading with grid staging catalogue service (MML-GSCATS) is introduced. We have developed a prototype application arabGRID toolkit that helps in MML processes. We also discuss benchmarks such as performance, reliability and error detections using healthcare case study. These benchmarks help in comparing MML-GSCATS methodology with traditional methods.
