N2 - In this paper, based on input balanced realizations we derive a new adaptive filter structure for blind channel equalization using the famous Bussgang criterion. This structure can overcome the drawbacks in the work reported in [1]. It is shown that the bounded-input-bounded-output (BIBO) stability of the proposed filters can be easily ensured. Examples are presented to illustrate the behavior of our proposed structure and simulations show that our proposed channel equalizer can yield satisfactory performance in terms of reducing inter-symbol interference (ISI).
