The feature documentary The Last Year of Darkness in which Qian worked as post-production supervisor had its world premiere at the 20th CPH:DOX (Copenhagen International Documentary Festival, 15-26 March 2023), as part of Next: Wave sections, and received a Special Mention at the Next:Wave Award. The film is also shortlisted as official selection for 2023 Vision Du Reel doc festival in Switzerland, 2023 Rooftop Films Summer Series in New York, and 2023 SXSW Sydney (South by Southwest). The film will be streamed on MUBI in 2024.
