A number of representative cases of characteristic towns across the country are selected. Based on the construction, reconstruction and publicity of characteristic towns by local governments, the basic model of what kind of understanding and feeling are obtained by the actors in what kind of space and what kind of practice methods is established to investigate how the people construct their cognition and identification of characteristic towns through space practice and media practice.
