Yao Zou

Yao has over ten years of work experience in the fields of public relations, media and education. She currently serves as the Corporate Recruitment Manager in IBSS at XJTLU.​Academically, Yao studied English Literature and Linguistics in Beijing Language and Culture University and furthered her study in the University of Liverpool and gained a Master’s degree in Media and Communications. ​Yao started her career in the media industry and worked as content editor for top Chinese web portals like NetEase (www.163.com) and TenCent (www.qq.com). Later she joined one of the leading international PR agencies – Ruder Finn Public Relations (Beijing) and supported Boeing and Emirates in their communication and marketing strategies in China. ​Yao joined XJTLU in 2014 and became Executive Assistant to Vice President (Academic Affairs). She then moved back to the marketing area and was in charge of the marketing and promotion for UG student recruitment. She now focuses mainly on recruitment for IBSS part-time masters programmes aiming to promote and engage more with the corporate world.​
