Dr. Xie Xinyi is an Assistant Professor at the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Ecosystem at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Dr. Xie received her PhD in Marine Technology and Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2024. Her research focuses on signal processing, inversion methods, recognition of multi-sensor information and ocean observation technologies.

Her research outcomes have been published in high-impact international journals, including the Journal of Hydrology (JCR Q1), IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (JCR Q1), and Remote Sensing (JCR Q1). Through her work, she has established substantial expertise in sensor technologies and oceanographic observation systems. She has international experience as a visiting PhD researcher, at the Coastal Engineering Research Group in the University of Plymouth.

In addition, Dr. Xie has gained extensive experience in entrepreneurial projects and competitions. She is an active member of the Elite Eagle at the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of ZJU. She has engaged in meaningful exchanges with the HSBC Business School (Shenzhen) and she is also a member of the Hejun Business School.
