Personal profile

Dr. Viet Linh Dang is an Assistant Professor (of Practice) at the School of Intelligent Finance and Business, Entrepreneur College, Xi’an-Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU).  He holds a Ph.D. in Logistics Management from Incheon National University, Korea, and an MBA from I-Shou University, Taiwan.

Before joining XJTLU, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the MIT Global SCALE Network’s Ningbo China Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (NISCI), where he advanced logistics and supply chain management research. Dr Dang has held leadership roles in South Korea’s logistics sector, including as Logistics and Warehouse Manager at TI Logis, where he played a key role in managing logistics solutions for global clients such as Entegris, Thermo Fisher, and ASM International. Additionally, Dr Dang served as Korea Operations Representative at Hop Nhat International Express (HNC), collaborating with Hanjin International Express (eHANEX) to manage and optimize e-commerce logistics operations.

Dr. Dang also has extensive experience in program management, academic collaboration, and R&D strategy. At ICO Korea, he developed frameworks to streamline R&D operations and managed master's programs, partnering with 30 Korean universities. Earlier, at Vietnam Maritime University, he facilitated international partnerships and managed student exchange programs.

In academia, Dr. Dang’s research focuses on global supply chains, sustainable sourcing, AI and machine learning applications in logistics, warehouse operations, decision science, and ports. He has published extensively in leading journals. He actively presents his research at renowned organizations and institutions, including the MIT Global SCALE Network, Supply Chain & Operations Manager Association (SCOM), and international conferences such as the Smart Supply Chain and Logistics Innovation Asia Pacific Convention and the Maritime Silk Road Port International Corporation Forum.
