Dr. Liang Wen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategic Management and Organisations (SMO) at International Business School Suzhou (IBSS), Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). He completed his Ph.D. in the Discipline of International Business at the University of Sydney. His current research interests include 1) Media influence and firms’ strategies: examining both outcomes and antecedents of media (dis)approval, including how media (dis)approval influences strategic changes and financial performance, and why and how firm wrongdoings or social activities cause heterogeneous media (dis)approval. 2) Time influence and firms’ strategies: investigating why and how temporal closeness between multinational enterprise (MNE) parent and subsidiary locations may affect MNEs’ employment of expatriates in their foreign subsidiaries.His research has appeared in the Journal of World Business, and the Academy of Management Best Paper Proceeding.
