Personal profile
I am currently working at XJTLU as the Assistant Professor in the School of AI and Advanced Computing. I received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science at the University of York, U.K in 2018, and the M.Sc. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2013. Before joining XJTLU, I worked as lecturer at Shanghai University in the School of Computer Science and Engineering from 2018 to 2023. During Sept 2020 till 2022, I worked as adjunct professor at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey USA, with Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), and an adjunct lecturer at Monash University. My research interests include statistical and structural pattern recognition, complex networks, information theory, thermodynamic and quantum statistics, especially in graph and network analysis. I received the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Award in 2021, and has been serving as the Associate Editor of Pattern Recognition Journal since 2022. I am now the reviewer of Pattern Recognition, Pattern Recognition Letters, Scientific Reports, CVPR, ICPR, BMVC, ICCV, etc.I am actively looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students or postgraduate and undergraduate students working on pattern recognition, machine learning, complex networks, network neuroscience, etc. If you are interested, please send me an e-mail with your CV or drop by my office. I will be happy talking with you. (Email: Jianjia.Wang@xjtlu.edu.cn)
