Personal profile

Personal profile

My name is Hanci Chi (池汉慈). I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Foundational Mathematics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. I received my Ph.D. from McMaster University under the supervision of Prof. McKenzie Wang, where I began exploring cohomogeneity one geometries and Einstein equations. Following my doctorate, I completed a short-term postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Hradec Králové under Prof. Ioannis Chrysikos, and then from 2020 to 2022 held a second postdoctoral position at Sun Yat-sen University with Prof. Wei Yuan

My research centers on the construction and analysis of special Riemannian metrics—especially Einstein metrics and Ricci solitons—on manifolds with high symmetry.
