Gengyang is an Assistant Professor in Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from AgroParisTech, University of Paris-Saclay. During his PhD study, he had short visits to the University of Copenhagen and the University of Umea (one semester). Prior to his appointment at IBSS, he worked and as a Postdoc at the Grenoble School of Management, as a Research Fellow (open ended appointment) at the University of Exeter and the University of Bretagne-Loire (open ended appointment). Currently, he also holds an appointment as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, at the University of Exeter in the UK.Gengyangs research interests lie at the intersection of economics, sustainability, and social well-being. His current areas of focus include empirical analyses of the factors influencing individuals adoption of energy-efficient and eHealth technologies, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping sustainable practices and improving healthcare outcomes. Moreover, he investigates the impact of socio-economic and environmental inequalities on health outcomes, seeking to uncover the intricate relationship between societal disparities and individual well-being.
