An academic with over 40 years (since 1983) of research and teaching experience in 5 British Universities and 2 Chinese Universities.

His research interests include Data Science, Big Data Analytics, Distributed, Generative and General AI, LLM and NLP, AI Ethics, HeXie theory, Knowledge Engineering, Agent and Multi-agent Systems, Grid Computing and HCI. He has published over 100 Journal and Conference papers. He has served as a number of academic journal editors and international conference technical committee members. He has obtained over 200K fundings from government and industry.

He has supervised 5 PhD students to completion and large number of masters. He has taught modules include AI, Disruptive Technologies, Big Data Analytics, Semi-structured Databases, and Technologies for e-Commerce for both UG and PG levels. He has published a textbook in title of "Foundation for Big Data Analytics: Concepts, Technologies, Methods and Business" (ISBN:978-7-03-058148-8).

He has wide industrial connections and worked with IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Baidu and iFlyTek, etc. He has extensive experience in consulting, application development and industrial solution providing using Data Science and Enginering knowledge, Artificial Intelligence, and Knowledge Graphs in the fields of business, industry, finance and governments.

He is a public speaker who delivers speeches, talks and seminars at Multi-billion, multi-national companies and international stages. He delivered industrial short disruptive technological courses for government agencies, business executives and high-level managers.
