Dr. Furong Jia is an Assistant Professor at HeXie Management Research Centre, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Dr. Jia earned her Ph.D. in Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. Her research interests are centered around gamification in digital platforms, e-commerce and behavioral IS. Her research has been published in journals such as Information Systems Journal (ABS 4), Information Technology and People (ABS 3), Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (SSCI Q1), and Industrial Management & Data Systems (ABDC A).  She has also received funding from the XJTLU Research Development Fund (RDF) for the period 2025 to 2027.
