Dr. Zhu, an Associate Professor at Wisdom Lake Academy of Pharmacy, has an interdisciplinary education/research background covering pluripotent stem cells, organoids, regenerative medicine, and functional biomaterials. Having obtained his Ph.D degree at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr. Zhu has developed expertise in stem cell biology and cell reprogramming. Then he embarked on two rounds of postdoctoral research at School of Basic Medical Sciences of Peking University and National Center of Nanoscience and Technology, where he developed a wealth of expertise and experience in the design, construction and biomedical applications of patient-derived tumor organoids or pluripotent stem cell-derived organoids. Later, Dr. Zhu served as associate principal investigator at Chinese Institute of Medical Research. Dr. Zhu has been appointed as expert advisor for Innovations in stem cell and organoids (ISCO). Dr. Zhu has published 12 SCI papers in international top journals such as Nature Biomedical Engineering, Advanced Materials, Cancer Research, Stem Cell Reports and Life Medicine. He has also been granted 2 invention patents.
Dr. Zhu actively seeks to build partnerships with researchers, enterprises, and physicians in drug screening and druggability evaluation using patient-derived tumor organoids; therapeutic applications of pluripotent stem cell-derived organoids in metabolic, neurodegenerative or inflammatory diseases.
Dr. Zhu also provide technical services to enterprises or physicians that have needs in the drug screening and druggability evaluation using patient-derived tumor organoids; as well as novel cell therapy using pluripotent stem cell-derived organoids in diseases. 朱博士是西浦慧湖药学院的副教授,拥有多能干细胞,(肿瘤)类器官,再生医学和功能性生物材料的多学科教育/研究背景。朱博士在中国科学院大学获得博士学位,在多能干细胞和细胞重编程方面积累了丰富的专业知识和技能。他分别在北京大学基础医学院和国家纳米科学中心开展了两轮博士后研究工作。随后,他加入首都医学科学创新中心担任副研究员。朱博士在临床病人来源的、多种类型肿瘤类器官设计、构建与药物成药性研究;在多能干细胞衍生的功能性类器官的体系设计、构建与细胞治疗等方面积累了丰富的专业知识和研究经验。朱博士被任命担任干细胞与类器官创新计划组织(ISCO)的专家顾问。朱博士在Nature Biomedical Engineering、Advanced Materials、Cancer Research、Stem Cell Reports和Life Medicine等国际主流期刊上发表了12篇SCI论文。他还获得了 2 项发明专利。
朱博士积极寻求与研究人员、企业和临床医生建立合作关系,利用病人来源的肿瘤类器官进行药物成药性评价(药物药效、药物毒性和药物安全性等)和药物耐药性研究;利用多能干细胞衍生的功能性细胞/类器官进行代谢性、神经退行性或炎症性疾病的疾病模拟和干预。

(1) Druggability evaluation (drug efficacy, drug uptake, drug safety, and drug resistance) using patient-derived tumor organoids.
(2) Therapeutic interventions of cancer, metabolic, neurodegenerative or inflammatory diseases using pluripotent stem cell-derived functional cells/organoids.
(3) Disease modeling and therapeutic drug screening using novel cell reprogramming technologies.
(4) The development of multifunctional biomaterials for cell reprogramming or cell therapy.

朱博士的研究方向主要包括:
(1)临床病人来源的肿瘤类器官的设计、构建和成药性评价(药物药效、药物毒性、药物耐药性等)。
(2)多能干细胞来源的功能细胞/类器官与慢性疾病(癌症、代谢性、神经退行性或炎症性疾病)的干预与治疗。
(3)新型细胞重编程技术的开发与疾病建模和药物筛选。
(4)开发用于细胞重编程和细胞治疗的新型功能生物材料。
