Dorothy is an Educational Developer at the Educational Development Unit within the Academy of Future Education at XJTLU. Her primary responsibilities include evaluating EDU programmes and delivering training sessions and workshops for faculty members. Her expertise lies in educational project management, providing consultations for students facing academic challenges, and supporting supplemental instruction and peer-assisted learning for STEM courses.

Previously, she served as a Learning Consultant at Duke Kunshan University, where she co-established the Tutoring and Peer Tutor Programmes for STEM courses. These initiatives incorporated the Socratic method and Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) to enhance student engagement and success. Additionally, she co-developed and managed the Academic Success Coaching Programme, offering tailored learning consultations to students, particularly those encountering academic difficulties.

Dorothy holds a master’s degree in Educational Policy and Organization Leadership and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research interests include supporting students with academic challenges, STEM education—particularly chemistry education—and the evaluation of educational programmes.
