Optmising IPTG treatment effects for GS protein expression

Activity: SupervisionCompleted SURF Project

Description

IPTG induction is a widely used method for regulating protein synthesis by initiating Lac promoter transcription, making the optimization of this process crucial. Through gradient experiments on time, temperature, and IPTG concentration, we determined that the optimal condition is
0.6 mM IPTG at 37°C for 4 hours. This condition allows for efficient IPTG-induced protein synthesis in a relatively short time, facilitating subsequent experiments.
