N2 - Simulation has been widely used in the construction industry to optimize productivity and resource allocation. However, simulation research that provides an explicit method to investigate possible space conflicts is still limited. This paper suggests a cell-based modeling approach to represent space resources in construction simulation, which enables spatial conflict analysis and visualization of the worksite and of the occupation of spaces. Comparison between the cell-based modeling approach and MicroCYCLONE approach is done to investigate the validity of the new proposed approach. Sensitivity analysis is applied to both methods to find the optimal resource combination.
