Abstract

A nonlinear partial differential control system subject to a state-dependent and nonconvex constraint is considered. This system arises in concrete carbonation modeling and takes account of hysteresis effects. We prove the existence of solutions to the system and establish the relaxation property: The density in an appropriate topology of solutions among solutions of the system with the convexified control constraint.
