Abstract
The method of synthesizing poly(sebacic anhydride-co-ethylene glycol) copolymers via melt-polycondensation under high vacuum was investigated. The copolymers were then characterized by IR and GPC, and their properties were determined. In addition, Different copolymers were synthesized by varying the molecular weight of the PEG. The properties of the copolymers, including their molecular weight, polydispersity index, melting point, and degradation ability were investigated. The molecular weight of the copolymers was increased by improving the previous method via polycondensation of PSA oligomer and PEG 6000.
