Abstract

This paper presents an Internet based solution, MeDispute, to the medical complaints in NHS UK. MeDispute is a system which allows the patients to express their views, comments, and complaints electronically. It's a sub-system of EU supported project known as eDispute, which aims to establish a rapid and effective arbitration procedure to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in international trade. MeDispute is targeting the complaints at local resolution because the vast majority (around 98%) of complaints do not progress beyond this stage. The intelligent management system in MeDispute will keep the users informed with the progress of the process and help the healthcare provider to solve the complaint efficiently and effectively.
