Measuring International Authority: A Postfunctionalist Theory of Governance

Research output: Contribution to journalReview articlepeer-review

Abstract

Studying International Authority (IA) is challenging. Measuring IA is even more ambitious. How do we measure the authority of International Organizations (IOs)? How are IOs composed? What decisions does each body make? And how? These questions guide Hooghe et al.'s analysis across their book Measuring International Authority. This is the third volume of a larger research program centering around a Postfunctionalist Theory of Governance. Measures and arguments presented in this volume are developed within two parts.
