Abstract

Since 1988, Europan has been organizing biennial competitions for young architects with the dual aim of encouraging debate and design research with a view to providing solutions to key contemporary issues through architecture and urban planning, and at the same time, raising the visibility of young architects’ talent by providing a bridge to their professional practice. For the past 30 years, more than 46.000 teams of young architects have contributed with their proposals and ideas, which in many cases have been able to be built and put into a reality. The exhibition “Europan 15 Spain” compiles 14 of the awarded entries submitted for the 15th edition of Europan to the 7 sites in Spain. These are only a selection of the total of 901 submitted projects to 47 site locations among 12 countries.
