Organic waste is one of the environmental concerns nowadays. The organic waste production in Malaysia reaches thousands of tons a day, and this leads to organic waste management should be taken seriously. Composting seems to be the best solution to solve this problem. This article is a review on the production of household waste in Malaysia and the related study on food waste (FW) composting.
