1. The project addresses a widely-known issue of teamwork assessment using a tangible method of group diary to enhance its practicality further and explore cross-applicability in diverse studio educational environments in the real-life context.
2. The group diary method has been tested preliminarily in an urban design studio and received excellent student feedback. External examiners have acknowledged this as the best practice for assessing peer evaluation in studio modules.
3. The project forms an interdisciplinary and cross-institutional team to develop a better pedagogic toolkit to maximise its benefit and ensure students’ active engagement in the studio group work. It is hoped that the finding dissemination through the two participating universities can contribute to education reform in China to meet the university’s strategic goals.
