Shiyao Li

Shiyao Li is a Lab Technician in the School of AI and Advanced Computing (AIAC) at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang). He obtained his MSc in Financial Technology and Data Science from the University of Bristol and BSc in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool.

In his current role at XJTLU's School of AIAC, he is developing a non-fixed asset management platform using zero-code development approaches, aiming to streamline resource management and enhance operational efficiency. His work involves optimizing technical platforms for academic environments and ensuring precise resource tracking.

Prior to joining XJTLU, his research work included implementing and validating the LSTM-MHA model for mid-price prediction using limit order book data across different markets, and leading the development of a cryptocurrency investment application based on Ethereum smart contracts.

His technical expertise includes Python (with PyTorch for deep learning implementations), R for algorithmic trading, Solidity for smart contract development, and various cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure. He is experienced in system optimization and platform development, contributing to the smooth operation of academic research facilities.

Beyond his technical work, Shiyao maintains an active interest in photography, bringing a balanced perspective to his professional endeavors. His approach combines technical precision with creative problem-solving, supporting XJTLU's mission of academic excellence and innovation.
