Medicinal and Organic Chemistry, Pharmacognosy:

  • Design and chemical/drug synthesis that engage novel reactivity concepts of architecturally complex molecules and natural products that can boost the body's ability to fight cancer and inflammation..
  • Study of bio-active prototypes from natural sources and microorganism.

Personal profile

Currently pursuing my doctorate degree, I am synthesizing peptide units and developing phosphinic acid-based pro-drugs towards Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) inhibition in tumor progression and metastasis. I have a Master degree in Phytochemistry from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. My reseach thesis was on study of Antioxidants compounds from the leaves extract of Lantana trifolia. I studied my Bachelors degree in Chemistry at Egerton University, Kenya.
