Dr Paweł Zygadło is a native of Poland who completed his doctoral studies in Taipei. He then went on to teach at the Minjiang University in Fuzhou. In February 2015 he joined the Department of China Studies as a lecturer in Chinese Culture. His research interests lie primarily in the grammar of Chinese culture and Chinese sociocultural psychology. His current research focuses on relation between the socio-ethical values and modes of communication in contemporary Chinese society. In general, his research is concerned with the dialectical relation between language and culture, and intangible cultural heritage.Dr Zygadło is a passionate teacher, who enjoys delivering modules on Chinese intellectual history, culture and communication and supervising UG and PG students.
