Emma Nan Hu is a Lecturer of Practice at the Department of Media and Communication. Before joining XJTLU, she had been working as a self-shooting producer/director and editor in the UK and China providing short form documentaries and video contents for both artistic and corporate projects since 2011. Besides offering production services for clients, she has been staying creative in the independent film world by undertaking various jobs in films and web series of different genres and scales. She also has experience in ethnography and journalism and is currently expanding her knowledge into new areas such as podcasting, AR production, VR production, interactive films and virtual production. She is excited to be given the opportunity to pass on her industry knowledge and technical skills to the next generation of media practitioners.
