Personal profile

Personal profile

I joined Department of International Studies as an Assistant Professor in June, 2021. Prior to this appointment, I held a three-year fellowship in Tsinghua University, Beijing. My research mainly concerns knowledge exchanges and epistemic formations in the history and theory of international relations. Specifically, I am interested in how social and political concepts that are rooted in specific intellectual and philosophical traditions become translated and transplanted into different political and cultural contexts. My most recent article is on Esperanto and its impact on dynamics of the twentieth-century international politics.I welcome PhD supervisions in areas such as IR theories, political theory, intellectual history--and any language-related issues in the domain of international relations.
