Dr. Cheng joined the Academy of Pharmacy at XJTLU as an assistant professor in Sep. 2021. She has broad experience in mass spectrometry and NMR-based comprehensive metabolomics and lipidomics studies. She has also been working on biomarker discovery and patient stratification via integrated study of multi-omics data, and investigating the regulatory mechanism of bioactive compounds on health and metabolic disease risk in intervention studies. Exploration of novel biomarkers and establishment of diagnostic and predictive models based on multiple omics data, especially metabolome, proteome and gut microbiota, and multi-dimensional data integration approaches.

Regulatory mechanism investigation of bioactive compounds in metabolic diseases.

Mass spectrometry-based analytical methods for comprehensive coverage of metabolome and lipidome.
