Kelvin Ke Jinde is Assistant Professor in Communication Studies at the Department of Media and Communication at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Born in Singapore, Kelvin Ke Jinde previously taught at the Singapore Institute of Technology, Lasalle College of the Arts, and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. He was nominated for DMCs Best Teacher award in 2021 and 2022. His research interests intersect film studies and video storytelling with cultural heritage. His digital shorts were previously screened at Berlin International Film Festival and the Chicago International Children Film Festival. Kelvin Ke Jinde was project leader of a multimedia art exhibition on Suzhou Pingtan entitled Postcards from Suzhou at Hong Yu Shi Art Gallery in Oct 2022 and at XJTLU Museum from September to Dec 2023.
