Professor Jasmine Kah Phooi Seng (成嘉佩) received her Bachelor (First Class Hons.) and Ph.D degrees from the University of Tasmania, Australia. She is currently Professor in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the School of AI and Advanced Computing at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang). Prior to joining XJTLU, she has held senior academic leadership (including Head of Department and Director of Research Centre) and honorary positions across several UK, Australian and Malaysian institutions.She has a proven track record of teaching, research and leadership. She has a strong record of curriculum and program development in different universities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research interests and strengths are in the areas of AI and intelligent systems, data science/analytics machine learning, Big data, Internet of Things (IoT) edge computing, multimodal information processing, embedded intelligence systems, and mobile software development. She has published three research books and over 250 articles in journals and international refereed conferences in her areas of interests and has received substantial grant incomes from government and industry in Australia and Malaysia. Her recent book titled “Multimodal Analytics for Next-Generation Big Data Technologies Applications” was published by Springer in 2019.Jasmine has a strong passion and strengths for research supervision. She has supervised or co-supervised over 25 HDR students including 15 PhD students to completion. She serves on the editorial board or committees of several journals and international conferences and is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She also serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Access.
