Personal profile

Personal profile

I am a researcher in the field of Robotics, specializing in Planning & Controls and Medical Robotics. My academic foundation was laid at Zhejiang University in China with the Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering in 2017. I pursued my passion at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), earning Master's degree in 2019 and his Ph.D. in 2023. I joined XJTLU (Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University) as an assistant professor from 2024, with a research focus in the field of autonomous navigation. My current research explores the capability of aerial and ground vehicles’ navigation, particularly in GPS-denied environments. This work is crucial for the future of autonomous systems (including ground vehicles, drones, and quadruped robot) with specific reliability needs in challenging conditions.

I am now actively recruiting master and Ph.D. students! Background with SLAM or dynamic systems & control is preferred.
