Dehui Yang earned his PhD from Colorado School of Mines in 2018. After graduate school, he worked in the tech and fintech industries for over 5 years as a data/applied scientist, including Root Insurance Company and Uber Technologies Inc. His interests are in the general areas of data science, including recovery of low-dimensional structures from high-dimensional observational datasets, predictive modeling using machine learning techniques, and risk scoring and pricing.
