Pre-stressing to rehabilitate masonry structures is a pretty effective technique used to improve the static behaviour of heritage buildings. In the specific proposal, pre-stressed Textile Reinforced Mortars (TRMs) will strengthen solid clay masonry walls subjected to horizontal loads. The experimental campaign will include two types of shear walls having dimensions of 1.5x1.5 m and 1.5x2.5. The walls will be subjected to two types of loads-a quasi-static and a dynamic- while under an initial level of vertical load corresponding to the serviceability limit state. Moreover, the selection for the appropriate type of fibre grid will be based on a performance assessment of TRM pre-stressed strips prepared using three different types of fibres, namely Basalt, Carbon and Glass
