Using Philosophy to Enhance Online Students’ Critical Thinking Skills

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

Online learning gives students the freedom to study anywhere, but it can also leave them coasting on autopilot. Drawing on my experience teaching academic English to international business and computer science students, I show how simple philosophical tools such as Socratic questioning, ethical dilemmas and logical analysis can turn passive screen time into active, critical engagement. These practical strategies help students dig deeper, argue smarter and apply their thinking to real-world challenges, whatever their discipline.
