Abstract
Upconversion luminescence in ZnS:Mn 2+, Eu 3+ codoped nanoparticles was investigated. Findings suggest that the upconversion emission is due to two-photon excitation. Spectroscopy and luminescence lifetime analysis was used for investigation. Results show that upconversion luminescence exhibits a quadratic power dependence. X-ray powder diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy was used to study the crystalline structure of the nanoparticles.
