Abstract
'The WEIGHT of WAITING' - A durational participatory performance created especially for this event is set in the abandoned train station of Miloi in Argolida, Greece. The performance will intricately integrate materials found on the disused train tracks and the existing bench on the platform of the Miloi train station, transforming them into a stage setting.
Fichti Art Festival is about Protecting & preserving cultural heritage through the active mobilization of citizens. The abandoned railway stations of Mycenas, Argos and Mills will be revived, mobilizing citizens towards a shared vision of cultural and environmental sustainability. International artists will bring new life into these historic sites by turning them into cultural hubs. Through this action, we will spotlight European culture's classical, traditional and modern aspects, manifested through sounds and images, composing the talents of artists and performers.
*The people behind Fichti Art Festival: A multinational group of volunteers aimed to create an expression space for internationally recognized artists and local creators. The team's primary goals are to focus on sustainable socio-economic development, alternative tourism, environmental protection, inclusive actions of vulnerable communities, and promoting international cultural events. Join us for a live celebration of art, culture, and community!
