Abstract
This proposal outlines a research-based learning story that demonstrates the 3C Model as an entire framework for institutional internationalization. The model demonstrates that intercultural competence and global citizenship development requires a unified approach between Curricular Integration and Co-Curricular Initiatives and Cultural Competence development. The research uses a qualitative case study of an international student at XJTLU to demonstrate the model's effectiveness through her personal experiences. This research investigates the academic progression of an international student from Kazakhstan, analyzing how her journey from initial language challenges to successful social integration was facilitated by both structured university programs and spontaneous institutional elements. The research investigates how students develop through their academic work and student organization participation and their interactions with faculty members to achieve deep personal and professional development. This research argues that the lessons learned from this case study can inform a unified strategy for universities globally, enabling them to build an integrated learning environment that allows students to succeed in a globalized world.
