Abstract

Mismatching problems induce power reduction in the photovoltaic (PV) power generation system, hot spots, and life reduction. This paper presents a switched-capacitor (SC) based on differential power processing (DPP) to deal with the mismatching problems between two PV strings. Additionally, a simple mismatching detection method is utilised in this DPP system. The experimental results show that the detection methods can show the mismatching problems, and the SCbased DPP can improve the output power.
