Abstract
The RIBA Asia Pacific Awards Exhibition pavilion, curated and developed through Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University’s Design School, is conceived as a creative work of architectural curation. It frames the exhibition not simply as a presentation of awarded projects, but as a spatial narrative that gives form to the key questions shaping architecture across the Asia Pacific region. By bringing together shortlisted award-winning works with digital presentations of the RIBA President’s Medals and Royal Gold Medal, the pavilion establishes a dialogue between practice, education, and the legacy of architectural ideas. In this way, the curatorial design itself becomes an original output, translating institutional values and architectural discourse into a coherent public experience.
