note = "Funding Information: In July 2012 the Environmental Leadership and Training Initiative (ELTI) held a conference in Sri Lanka at the Royal Botanic Gardens of Peradeniya. The conference was organized to summarize and disseminate research findings concerning tropical forest restoration in South Asia. ELTI is an initiative of the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies of Yale University and is in partnership with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and the National University of Singapore. ELTI seeks to facilitate information transfer concerning tropical forest restoration and conservation to policy makers, individuals in technical positions, community representatives, indigenous leaders, and other key actors from relevant sectors of society within tropical Asia and Latin America. Funding from ELTI is made possible thanks to Arcadia Fund, whose Environmental Conservation grants support programmes that protect and enhance biodiversity, and provide field training and academic research.
