Abstract

#Reflections (2021): A photo essay capturing ephemeral reflections of light across glass, surfaces, and
textures. Rooted in intimate observation—such as studying the interior of a glass bottle—the series
investigates how form and void engage through light and perception. Blurry lines, organic shapes, and
soft shadows are expressed in two complementary modes: a series of grey tone-inspired black and white
images, and another in vibrant colour. Each image treats white and black space not as background or
absence, but as a resonance space—where visual stillness invites contemplation, and emptiness
becomes an active presence. These images operate like vessels of perception, inviting viewers into a
suspended state of attentiveness. The interplay of light and shadow articulates a threshold space—what
Bachelard would call a “resonance of windows”—where material and memory interact.
