Abstract

Postcards from Suzhou: XR is an extended reality art show (XR) about Suzhou arts and culture. It comprises artificial intelligence and generative art, interactive media art, documentaries, video installations, paintings, photographs, and graphic works. All artworks are created by the staff and students from the Department of Media and Communication of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

The aim of the show is to intersect the latest media technologies to present new and innovative ways of experiencing Chinese intangible cultural heritage. At the same time, the show aims to celebrate Suzhou's unique culture by creating a series of immersive and educational arts works and experiences for families, children, and art lovers.
