Abstract

Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics, Cuneiform, and Linear B have long eluded the researchers working on them, before being cracked. The decipherments of these writing systems risks to remain an isolated feat. The study of other lost languages, nonetheless, even if it seems unlikely that their mysteries will be unraveled, is of capital importance for Science.
